Communist Party of Cuba / Central committee

The Communist Party of Cuba expresses its gratitude to welcome the birth of the LIBRE party, which was created as a result of the struggles of the Honduran people, their strength, and courage against the criminal Coup d'Etat.

Its creation marks a milestone for emancipation of the Latin American people, in defense of their rights and shows a higher stage of organization of the political battle and of ideas in Honduras, so necessary for a true independence.

Likewise, we want to congratulate the social movements: specially the National Front of People´s Resistance and its leader Manuel Zelaya Rosales, on the birth of its political party, which stands as a decisive political force to confront the upcoming challenges.

We reaffirm our support and solidarity and we wish you success in your future commitments. Now the Honduran people will be able to honor with greater force the ideas of Francisco Morazán.

An embrace of solidarity.
