Three heavily armed men assassinated the president of the enterprise los Laureles in the Concepcion settlement that belongs to the Unified Campesino Movement of Aguan (MUCA) at 9:30 pm as he returned from his mother-in-law's house in the company of his wife in the Laureles neighborhood in Tocoa, Colon. The unfortunate campesino is José Omar Pérez Menjivar, age 37, who was assassinated about 100 meters from his house by armed men who fired taking his life instantly.

ANACH secretary murdered by assassins under the command of landowners, amid constant militarization
On Sunday, April 21, at 3pm, assassins aboard a vehicle murdered National Association of Campesinos of Honduras (ANACH) General Secretary Alfonso Bonilla, 48, by means of multiple gunshot wounds in the community of dos Bocas in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Aguan, in the department of Colon, Honduras.
